wordpress themes: green thoughts

First of all, I’m not a programmer, so my PHP and CSS knowledge tends to none. Second of all, because I’m starting to learn some and because I’m quite familiar with WordPress – I’ve been using it for more than one year – and WordPress templates, I thought it would be nice to give people a pretty theme. So I made Green Thoughts.

The colors I chose might have been inspired subconciously by the Green Lantern, though the title was chosen randomly, due to a lack of inspiration. Anyway, that’s not the point. The template has three columns – narrowcolumn is the central one – and too sidebars – sidebar.php and obar.php.

You might find some classes in the style.css file, which you wouldn’t know how to use. Well, the template looked different in my first version, so I might forgotten to remove a few lines. Don’t worry, it works perfectly with or without them.

Some observation I have to make: while changing the header image, remember to add a 1 pixel white left border and a 1 pixel white right border. And I’m not talking about the CSS file, I’m talking about the image :P. That would be one. The second one: the images will not resize automatically, so you might want to keep a no more than 460 pixels width. One last thing: I have no idea wheter YouTube movies work on it, I sure hope they do. This is something I forgot to test. Anyway, if they don’t work, I strongly recommend Kimili Flash Embed plugin.

PS: There would be one more observation to make. For now, I cannot supply you with a testrun, so you cannot see it in action. You will just… have to wait until the guys from themes.wordpress.net will reply my mail or just trust me :).
